The reason for writing this blog post is, there are multiple wedding related news I wanted to share with you’ll. If I sat down to talk about it individually, the information would reach you in months. So going to put down everything related non-related to weddings, expenditure etc etc in this one long post.
1. Flyrobe Has (Most Probably) Shut Down
If there’s one piece of wedding related news you need to absorb, it’s this. I just had to put this out there as soon as possible. Couple of weeks back, one of the Frugal2Fab readers left a comment saying this:
Even I had a really bad experience from Flyrobe. I ordered three dresses, Which was supposed to be delivered a day before my function starts. One dress got delivered, for the other two there was no update, even after checking with them personally, I got no update about the dresses.
On the day of my function, the customer care texted around 11:00 am and started sending options which they would have delivered at night. But my functions had to start at 04:00 pm…. I somehow managed through other websites, but throughout the wedding I was super tensed and mostly not present at the ceremonies because I was arranging for the same day evening function and the next day went like this for arranging second dress.
So my suggestion is to not completely rely on Flyrobe, or May be any other rental website, And always keep a Back up Plan ready. Also, After few months I noticed that the dress which I rented from other website during above wedding , Flyrobe was charging double rent for exact same dress.
I found this quite bizarre coz Flyrobe is pretty decent. I have written countless posts on them encouraging everyone to rent rather than invest in expensive bridal pieces. So this came as quite a shock to me personally.
So last night, I did a bit of snooping around and found this. Flyrobe has been acquired by another fashion portal called Rent It Bae back sometime last year. Post that, looks like they have completely shut down their services.
But the problem is not that. I went through some of their official Instagram account comments and Facebook posts, and there was something scary.
Flyrobe is not processing refunds to its customers + They’re also not returning back garments to the designers
All their official phone numbers, email ids, customer care has gone kaput. Not sure since when. I found out about it last night. So please DON’T SHOP FROM THEM.
2. Anita Dongre Is A Great Label To Shop Mid-budget Pre-Bridal And Bridal Lehengas Now
Just yesterday I published a blog post on the latest Tarun Tahiliani Bridal Lehenga prices. They are all from his latest 2020 collection, in case you’ve missed.
Tarun Tahiliani’s bridal lehengas were all upwards 5 lakhs! All the way going to a whopping 10 lakhs!! No kidding. I know I shouldn’t be shocked, but I mean it is expensive. So is Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra and the likes.
Pink Anita Dongre Lehenga Price – INR 3.17 Lakhs
An intricately embroidered lehenga in a vivid fuchsia pink. It is adorned with gota patti, dori, sequins, pearls, cut dana, zari and zardosi work. It is paired with an embroidered blouse featuring a scooped neckline, along with two exquisitely embroidered dupattas in fuchsia pink and powder blue.
Flamingo Blush Pink Lehenga Price – INR 3.54 Lakhs

In all that chaos, comes in Anita Dongre. I’ve had the good fortune to see her lehengas up close once or twice before and her designs look gorgeous. Better in person than in pictures as well. The best part is since the last year or so, Anita Dongre has been showcasing more and more affordable bridal and pre-bridal wear. You can easily check out prices and latest collection pictures on her website, making it pretty transparent for customers. I found these to be particularly interesting considering their price points.
Outfit 1, 2 and 3 Price – INR 3.07 Lakhs each
Some of you might say, what are you talking – 3 plus lakhs is not mid-budget. I hear you. But do you know that Chandni Chowk ‘premium’ labels charge you anywhere from 1 Lakh plus all the way to 3 Lakhs for their lehengas? Now given that you have that information, isn’t it a good thing to see a premium bridal designer selling her bridal wear in this price bracket?
You can check out all the latest Anita Dongre Lehenga Prices in the blog post below. There are quite a few under 1 Lakh options as well.
Lehenga 1 Price – INR 60,000 & Lehenga 2 Price – INR 1.5 Lakhs
3. Torani Just Launched An All White Fairytale Bridal Lehenga Collection + We Know Prices!!!
Lehenga Price – INR 236,500
Few weeks back, I received a DM on Frugal2Fab Instagram account. A lady was planning her Christian Wedding. She wanted to wear a lehenga instead of a white gown. A white lehenga that is that could be sort of like an alternate option to a traditional white wedding gown.
Now, I am no genie. I can only suggest options that I see around me. In fact, I’m kind of hoping some of you take the initiative and keep me informed should you see anything yourself. Is that asking for too much 🙂
So, this was probably a month or so back. I had no answers to her. So I didn’t really engage in the conversation. Cut to today. I found THE PERFECT shaadi outfits in white. They are so sooo pretty. You gotta see them. Ready?
Lehenga Price – INR 1.88 Lakhs
You can shop Torani outfits directly from their website. The one thing you should keep in mind while shopping is this. They sell individual outfit pieces. So you’ll find separate prices mentioned for choli, dupatta and lehenga on their site. Don’t mistake it for the whole outfit price together.
If you want to check out their entire collection and know the prices, check out the link below. their previous collections did cost significantly less compared to the latest designs.
Peach Lehenga Price – INR 1,40,500
I know these are expensive like hell. But if and when I find affordable labels, will share those with you. In case you’re looking for lehengas in the under 30k to 50k range check out this blog post below:
