It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on latest Banarasi Lehengas. If there is one fabric that I love in lehengas, it’s this. No matter what’s the occasion, whether you’re the bride, brides sister or just a guest at the wedding, Banarasi is always a stylish option to go for.
The past few days, I did a bit of snooping around, and found out there are some new Latest Banarasi Lehengas that designers have released this season. That plus, I also found few new labels that have done one odd pretty banarasi pieces in their collection. Have a look. Maybe it might be the one for you.
I know some of you are all about budget, and not into designer pieces. Me too. Don’t worry. You can always check this list out for ideas for banarasi look, colour combination etc. One thing that’s easy and affordable to do in banarasi is to simply go for a banarasi dupatta, or a banarasi based skirt alone. Not the whole outfit, just one piece. You can play around with this fabric easily and because it looks so rich and heavy, you can turn any simple outfit more showy.
Chanderi Silk Lehenga with Banarasi Dupatta
I recently got a chanderi silk lehenga stitched for my cousins wedding. It was for the reception. The colour I chose was a light pista green with silver zari work all over. But I couldn’t figure out the dupatta part. By the time the lehenga got stitched and delivered, it was almost time to travel. I still hadn’t figured out the dupatta. So what I did was simply worked with a classic gold banarasi dupatta.
I don’t have clearer pictures yet, but you can get an idea. If you are in Delhi NCR, go to Lajpat Market. There is a fabric store called Vastra. They have an amazing selection of Banarasi dupattas in different price range starting from INR 1000 to INR 8000. You can get all sorts of shades, and jal work and can use it on anarkalis, sarees, or even lehengas.
P.S. I’ve also written another post on a yellow Sambalpuri Silk Lehenga I got done for the same wedding for the morning function. You can check that out below:
Ok, coming back to the topic. If you’re looking to invest in some Latest Banarasi Lehengas, here’s some of the options I’ve found for you.
This Pink Banarasi Lehenga by Anju & Harleen – INR 98,500
To be honest, this is the first time I’ve come across this designer duo. I checked their website and they are usually more into trousseau and casual ethnic pieces. This was the only banarasi lehengas piece in their current collection. But what a beauty! That colour is so pretty to wear to a day wedding.
And this is something I’ve realised. Next time you go to any wedding, notice this. Pastels, and pretty ivories, and light shade outfits look extremely pretty in person. But if one person around you walks by in a heavy silk pop coloured lehenga, that just stands out in the crowd. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. But pastels only look great as long as your entire bridal party sticks to that colour scheme. What do you feel?
Red Banarasi Embroidered Lehenga Price – INR 1,25,000
Peach Banarasi Lehenga With Embellished Jacket – INR 98,500
I’m not sure if you’ve checked out Rabani and Rakha designs before. They are quite versatile in their offering. You’ll find everything from fusion wear, to cocktail & reception outfits like sarees, shararas, lehengas and more in their collection.
These are the two latest banarasi lehengas I found in Rabani and Rakha’s latest collection. They are pretty pieces to own. I especially like the second outfit with the optional peplum top. Two looks in one, who wouldn’t want that?

Handwoven Pink and Purple Rangkat Silk Lehenga – INR 1,14,125
Handwoven and Embellished Red Mashru Silk Lehenga – INR 1,52,825
Handwoven Red Embellished Banarasi Silk Lehenga with Net Dupatta – INR 1,74,975
Why do Ekaya outfits cost so much? Well, they are a premium brand + they provide all these higher quality banarasi outfits. Hence, the price. Whenever you go shopping for banarasi, it’s not just banarasi. Banarasi comes in different types – Katan, Kora, Shattir, Zari etc. I don’t know the difference either. You can probably read it up. But that also adds up to the final price.
