There’s a lot of good wedding info I came across in the month of April. So I thought this blog post is a good place to put up all of those inputs. In this post on April Brides, I will be sharing not just amazing brides and their outfits, but also photographer of the month, budget photographer, budget wedding venues in Mumbai and more.

A lot of you on Instagram DM got in touch with me after I posted Delhi NCR Budget Wedding Venues. If you are a bride to be and getting married in Delhi, then you must check out that post.

But somehow a lot of you wanted other city wedding venues on budget. So before I start with anything else, let’s address budget wedding venues first.

Mumbai Budget Wedding Venues – Under 1000

P.S. The picture above is only for representation purpose. Please don’t assume that this wedding venue is under 1000 bucks a plate.

Mumbai in comparison to Delhi is way more affordable when it comes to wedding venues. Honestly, I think Mumbai is more affordable than Delhi in almost everything other than real estate.

If you have a budget of INR 1000 per plate then you will be able to find three-star mid-affordable banquets and lawn for your wedding. A budget of INR 1500 can get you some really nice places.

One of my Instagram followers told me Hirawati Hall, Samriddhi Banquet and Ramada Plaza all come under the INR 1500 price range.

I spent INR 675 three years back for my wedding at Megarugas Lawns in Powai. I lived in Powai so that was sort of a win-win for me. The food there was fantastic. The location is a bit blah, but if you are in the Chandivali-Saki Naka- Hiranandani area, you should check them out.

Lavender Bough in Ghatkopar is quite well known for its affordability. You should be able to negotiate and get a price of under INR 800 per plate here. I think the place is only vegetarian, so make sure you cross check that.

I will be writing a detailed (researched) blog post on Mumbai Wedding Venues later this month. This is only to give you all a rough idea of some of the rates going on in Mumbai.

Favourite Wedding Photographer – Gautam Khullar Photography

If you follow wedding photographers on Instagram, I bet you’ve come across Gautam Khullar photography. He’s a Delhi based wedding photographer. I have loved his pictures for a long time now. So thought if you’ve always wondered what it takes to hire a brilliant photographer like him for your wedding, this is what it takes.

  • Candid + Cinematography – INR 1 to 1.5 Lakhs for one day
  • Pre-Wedding Shoot starts at INR 30-50k for a day shoot
  • For Traditional Photo + Video – it’s another INR 30-40k per day

You really have got to have a healthy budget to hire him for your big day. But if you see the pictures, it’s well worth it. Try and cut down maybe a 50k to 80k from other expenses if you’re marginally falling short. A good photographer can totally change the wedding game.

I also know that hiring Gautam Khullar is not for everyone. Certainly not for me as well. So If you are looking for a budget wedding photographer, here’s a good one I came across recently.

Mumbai Budget Photographer of the Month – Band Baaja Capture

  • Candid + Cinematography – INR 50k for one day
  • Pre-Wedding Shoot starts at INR 15k for a day shoot
  • For Traditional Photo + Video – it’s another INR 10-20k per day

If you like bright pop colour pictures for wedding photography, then Band Baaja Capture is a good one to check out. You can visit their website to get a good look at the kind of weddings they’ve done so far. I think they are pretty good for the price. If any of you’ll do interact with the team, let me know what you think about them.
