Colourful Bridal Wear

This is the second post in the series of Pakistan Bridal Fashion Week. If you have missed the first one, you can see it here.

Every bride wants to look her best on her big day. There are so many designers out there who are doing exceptional work. Sometimes it’s hard to pick and choose favourites.

While Indian designers are top of the league themselves, back in our neighbouring country Pakistan, bridal fashion game is strong. They have multiple bridal designers who make everything from rich heavy bridal wear to uber-stylish cocktail and other prewedding function outfits.

Today, we will see some of the top favourite Colourful Bridal Wear from Pakistan Bridal Fashion Week. Let me know which one you like the most.

Colourful Bridal Wear

Ali Xeeshan

This is my top pick for today’s bridal wear looks. To some of you, it might look garish and over the top bling, but the work is exquisite. I know pastels are more popular than pop these days, but something like this outfit you can only wear and shine on your D-Day. It looks royal, magnificent and every inch opulent. I call it the ‘thakurayan look‘.

Shararas are great for mehendi and sangeet night. These are the occasions where you can flaunt the pop through your outfit choice. I love how the designer Nickie Nina has showcased multiple styles of wearing the sharara with different kurta lengths.

For Brides who are not shy of experimenting with their Wedding Wear:

This last outfit by Nomi Ansari has got to be my favourite. While it’s not the conventional Colourful Bridal Wear per say, the gorgeous over the top jacket is stunning. It can easily be reused on multiple occasions even post the wedding. The beautiful pop colours are good to wear in summer day weddings. Keep in mind, pop colours look great on camera !

You’ve chosen the worst attires from the fashion show. Nomi Ansari, Ali Zeeshan are known for using colors and staying away from subtle and pastels. At least show some contrast and variety, why choose the loud ones only? Pakistani designer work with every color palette across the board when it comes to bridal wear and luxury pret. There’s lots of experimenting and creativity. And I don’t understand the mocking in every post about Pakistani designs, u seem to like them but don’t let go of any opportunity to take pot shots at their designs and how loud their work is. U have only seen fraction of the beautiful intricate designs and embellishments, the workmanship and detail and quality is praise worthy. If anything Indian designer seem to be stuck in a rut and always display similar designs and cuts. It’s redundant and nothing new when it comes to bridal wear. And of course quality of KAAM cannot be matched. With a exceptions of Sabya maybe. If u have inclination towards Pakistani designs please do more extensive research and see work of Tena Durrani, ELAN, Nida Azwer, MishaLakhani, Menahil and Mehreen, HSY, Maria B, Nickie and Nina, AsiFa and Nabeel, Mahgul, Zara ShahJan, SFbridals – Sadaf Fawad, (Fawad Khan’s wife) Saira Rizwan…they are known for intricate details and cuts.
