Wish you all a very happy prosperous New Year!
I just got back from a 10 day holiday in Rajasthan and I have a ton of budget-friendly tips for all you 2018 brides to be. Today, I thought I will share my top 5 Jodhpur Prewedding Photoshoot Locations that are postcard pretty. If you are someone who is looking for a ‘hatke‘ location, then this post will be really useful to you.
For more detailed pictures and ideas, you can now follow me on my travel blog MissNautiTales.
#1 Mehrangarh Fort
The fort is one of the most beautiful scenic forts I have seen in my life. Perfectly restored, every courtyard turns out to be prettier than the previous one. It’s like unravelling one surprise after another.
The good part about this fort is that there are lots of nooks and corners where you can do your PreWedding Photography. The fort walls also include the stunning sunset point at Chamunda Temple which is the perfect blue city backdrop for your frame.
#2 Clock Tower also known as Ghantaghar
The clock tower is situated right in the heart of the blue city Jodhpur. What’s amazing is that even with all the hustle bustle of the busy marketplace below, this monument remains fairly empty making it a superb spot for PreWedding Photography. Not to forget, the gorgeous view of the Mehrangarh Fort from its compound.
#3 Jaswant Thada
This beautiful cenotaph is located at a walking distance from Mehrangarh Fort. It’s peaceful and has a striking resemblance to Taj Mahal type architecture. If you are someone who loves a mix of nature with old heritage properties, then Jaswant Thada has all the right angles for your photography.
#4 Old Blue City
If you get the chance stay overnight at the old blue city of Jodhpur. The colourful blue lanes with contrast pop colour antique doors make it the perfect photoshoot location. You can even try out the rooftop restaurants in the old city. They have some of the best views of the fort on one side, and the blue houses on the other.
I wanted to save the best for last. If you are crowd shy, and still want an old heritage feel for your PreWedding Photography, then there is no place like Panchkunda. What’s baffling is that this name doesn’t even show up in Google search. It’s a well-kept secret of the city.
Pankunda has in all 46 cenotaphs of Kings and Queens of Mewar. It’s a completely isolated area on the outskirts of the city. I can guarantee you no one has done a proper PreWedding Photoshoot there, so you will have your first mover advantage if you pick this place.
