I know I have been MIA for quite some time. I had to take a break. Unfortunately, even after coming back…getting back to writing has not been easy. But I am so glad you guys are all here. I hope you all had a wonderful Diwali. Anybody put up any more post-Diwali weight on? I know I have, and it sucks to go back to the gym.

But that’s not today. Today I am so happy to be looking through the amazing couture expert Suneet Varma’s latest AIFW SS18 collection. I completely missed the fashion week, and the one collection that truly spoke out to me was Suneet Varma’s Garden of Eden collection.

If you are looking for some lazy weekend drooling, then this post will achieve that beautifully for you.

I don’t know why but seeing this collection reminded me of the hit TV series – Gossip Girls. Think masquerade ball, mean girls, opulent over the top outfits…all perfect ingredients for a themed party. Luckily in Indian Weddings, a lot of the brides now want to go for themed weddings. I think this collection is perfect for making that bold statement. Its fun, frivolous and you know you are going to have a ball wearing these gorgeous pieces.

I don’t know about you, but I am loving this feather trend. Quite sexy isn’t it? I think these feathered style outfits are perfect for a cocktail night. It has the right amount of traditional meets bling meets sexy.

The glamour and sensuality in this collection comes through the use of sheer and lucid fabrics, the delicate placement of embellishments, the drapes and the unexpected details- and what they reveal or conceal.

Couture is like a sixth sense of seduction. It has its own vocabulary and language, like an elaborate braid entwined with history, myth and tradition. It may be modern, Whimsical or demure- but always magnificent and carefully crafted.”

What do you think of the collection?
