Rarely does one comes across a fashion week collection, where every single outfit is a show-stopper worthy piece. Tarun Tahiliani’s latest collection ‘ Tarakanna‘ had me thinking exactly which outfit is my favourite from the list. It’s a difficult choice considering the couture expert showcased a total of 80+ outfits on the ramp.
I call it one of the Most Beautiful Lehenga Collection I have seen in the recent past. Whether it is the colours or the design, print, work there was so much variation in one fashion show. I loved it. Take a look at some of the favourites.
It was the cosmic night when you look out and you see stars and stardust and it’s weightless and it sparkles and shimmers and it flutters in its move and it’s amass but you can’t feel it, I think that’s the essence of this collection,” – Tarun Tahiliani, Source – News18.com
Powder Blue Lehengas are pure love
Is this called powder blue or ice blue? Regardless of the colour notation, look how pretty it looks. For all those pastel crazy brides, this is one unique colour scheme to go for this season.
# For the Bold Bride – Black is the new Red
Just look at the opulence of these outfits. Black, as it is, looks so heavenly, team it with gold and floral embroidery, and what you get is one hell of a stunner.
# Feather Light Lehengas
I always liked monochrome, especially on brides. I feel it makes them look taller. I think multi-colored with embroidery, jewellery and makeup, it’s just too much. You (the wearer) are not a village bell. Where people wore multi-colored they wore dull jadau or they wore silver like in Rajasthan. I think that looks very dated and passe.” – Tarun Tahiliani, Source – News18.com
# Grooms-Wear Inspiration
Classic pieces, I love how well coordinated the grooms-wear outfits look with traditional heavy bridal wear. What do you like on men more…gold, ivory, or black?
