I have been an ardent fan of Shyamal Bhumika for quite some time now. Their wedding outfits have somehow always managed to strike a cord. This time around, the designer duo debuted at FDCI ICW 2017 and their fashion show was every bit dazzling as I had hoped.
The collection aptly titled ‘The Princess Soiree’ had beautiful capes and lehengas, with off shoulder detailing, in gorgeous champagne gold, ruby red, dark green and black bold colours.
The thing I loved about the collection is that the designers smartly showcased what’s trending this season. They beautifully combined the western trends into Indian silhouettes and gave us a dreamy eyed collection fit only for a princess bride.
Favourite Outfits from the Shyamal Bhumika Collection:
Athiya Shetty (I’m not a fan) looked gorgeous in black gold ensemble. The outfit is perfect for a reception night/cocktail event. It looked every bit of royalty. The front slit, all gold shimmery cape, teamed with a black embroidered skirt, what’s not to love.
“I have always been an admirer of Shyamal and Bhumika and been inspired by Indian art and craft. Seeking inspiration from the rich Indian heritage and history from the ancient culture, Shyamal and Bhumika create couture collections relevant to modern day sensibilities,” – Athiya, Source: IANS
