I am done for my day and I am off to bed. Like every 20 something year old out there, I end up on my phone scrolling through my Instagram feeds. Its how I now end my day. Sigh, *bloggerlife* ! Absent mindedly I browse through various fashion and wedding bloggers updates but something is different today. I don’t see any names popping up. Just one designer. Sabyasachi.
No matter who you are, where you at, or how interested-disinterested you might be, there is just no ignoring this wedding couture master. I was not aware of the release of the latest spring couture Udaipur 2017 collection, I just stumbled upon it. It looks bad on my part considering I am a wedding blogger…but I am just waiting for the day when I finally get bored of Sabyasachi. I try and avoid talking Sabyasachi as much as I can, because 90% of the brides out there are Sabyasachi brides, and 90% of the chances are you must have seen that Sabyasachi bridal lehenga for the 10th time somewhere on someone. But this couture lehenga master is just not letting go.
Turquoise alert people. This is surely to be the latest hot trending wedding colour to watch out for. Did you ever think that a turquoise sherwani would look this good? I love how the Udaipur Sabyasachi collection focusses on both the bride and groom matching looks.
You say wedding, and there is just one name that’s always on the tip of the tongue. Its like nobody else has a chance. I am not complaining. He just makes you fall in love over and over again. There is just no other option.
I spent the next 2 or so hours in the night ogling through the vast ocean of beauty in front of me. How does he manage to do that every single time. There is not one outfit that you wouldn’t love from Sabyasachi’s Udaipur Collection. Its so beautiful, so put together. The amalgamation of colours putting together a collection which has something for everyones liking. From ivory whites, to florals, signature reds, teal, and ending on dark blue…the designer has shown the perfect balance of the bride and groom wedding fashion for the spring/summer season.
If you look at the collection for long, it may just seem as though Sabyasachi has designed this collection for the entire wedding party. Not just for the bride and groom, you can also find wedding lehengas, sarees, sherwani for the mother of the bride, sister of the bride/groom, the whole wedding entourage basically.
It just shows how carefully and in detail the designer has planned the Udaipur collection. There are some beautiful spring colours shown in sarees of light orange mixed with sea green, so fresh with minimal intricacies on just the border. Subtle yet hits the right nodes.
The embroidered tulle saree worn with a gorgeous Kishandas navratna jewellery is so stunning. Ditto for the handpainted sherwani in sherbet colours, this season our brides and grooms have an array of wedding outfit options to choose from all thanks to the amazing Sabyasachi.
If it were just the pictures, probably you wouldn’t notice the jewellery and the stunning bridal makeup on the models. But the small video snippets just show to what extent of detailing the maestro has planned for. Kishandas Jewellery looks stunning, almost looks absolutely made for this collection. The beautiful wedding jewellery fits so aptly with the lehengas and embraces that bridal look beautifully. I am love love with the oversized nath. Now you know the nath trend is here to stay for another season, and that’s awesome !
The gorgeous videos of the Udaipur Collection by Sabyasachi were shot at the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur. Its the perfect location for a destination wedding.
Brocade safas and benarasi sarees by Sabyasachi, the embroidered sherwani and the khaki sarees, the jade jewellery by Kishandas to the modern tulle lehenga, the Udaipur Collection is a complete wedding outfit destination stop. There is just no escaping this one. Prepare for a season full of Sabyasachi brides coming up.
