Mustard yellow has been a rather recent obsession. I don’t know if this happens to you as well. My liking towards certain fashion evolves with how the latest trends actually work. So if the latest trend is long kurta lehenga, or a particular color…I instantly start loving it a month or so before it becomes a total rage. In my head, I am always the new fashion creator of sorts. 😛
Anyhow dreaming aside, mustard yellow is something I have had my eyes on for quite some time now. My mum made me a mustard yellow red lehenga which I was to wear to my sis-in-laws wedding, and I have been loving the color ever since. There is something about it…its the onset of summers, its the most traditional wedding color…and it does add a pop of color to anything dull.
I started researching some time back and found so much of inspiration behind mustard, that I had to share it with you all. May be next time you go shopping for wedding stuff, you might want to add that something mustard to your trousseau or wedding decor.
Mustard Yellow Wedding Inspiration
There is something about this color as it works both solo, as well as an accent color on various contradictory shades. Be it brown, grey, blue, red…one can really experiment with it. I am absolutely loving these themed weddings where there is a main focus color, be it white or in the picture above – mustard.
Its the color of happiness, and optimism, of enlightenment and creativity, sunshine and spring. This summer, mustard is here to stay. I saw quite a few outfits in this shade at the recent LFW Summer/Resort 2017. Let me know if you love this color as much as I do.
Mustard colored saree is pretty old news, but mustard lehenga, be it the blouse, or the dupatta adds a certain glow to any bride. Its a must have color in the trousseau for sure, but it also makes for a stunning main function bridal wear. Recently Masoom Minawala chose this color for her Holi/Cocktail party and the pictures were fabulous.
