Do you have a wedding in the family coming up? Tired of the same old looks, sarees, lehengas want to try out something different? Well me too. I have my sister in laws wedding early next month, and quite honestly I am more bothered than her about what looks to wear to her 10000 ceremonies lined up. Its just crazy.

Given that now I am part of a North Indian family, dressing up is an integral part of the culture. Somehow my laid back attitude towards clothes is just not helping my case, and no matter how many stores I have gone through searching for that perfectly priced outfit, I just can’t seem to find it.

So, here’s what I have planned to do. I have started bookmarking the looks which are in my bucket list, and I am going to see what’s the most feasible to may be make by a designer (or my mom). Sasta, tikau, and I have to solve this wedding look madness.

I have been pinteresting like crazy since a few days, and here are some of my favorite winter wedding guest style looks that you can wear to a winter wedding.

# Peplum Lehenga

I am not much of a fan of this style, but having said that the outfit style does have a few merits. One, it is perfect for winters given its full sleeves, head to tow covered look. Its definitely a stylish piece and if you have that envious waist line, this is the perfect pick to show off your gifts.

# Cape Style Outfits

There are so many different ways of styling an outfit with a cape style dupatta. Whether you keep it as a wrap around just above the waist, or have a longish dupatta both the styles look pretty stunning. Not to forget the off shoulder cape styled outfits. They are so much in fashion these days.

# Kurta Sharara Set

Long or short kurti, both go extremely well with a flowy sharara. The more the fabric in your sharara, the better. You can dance, sing, twirl and be uber comfortable wearing this outfit at any wedding. I especially am in love with the pastel shade sharara sets, but they are just so so expensive. Its like the more simple looks you go for, the more money you got to shell out.

# Kurta Lehenga Set

Personally I love this outfit style more than the sharara look. I have always had a soft spot for lehenga skirts, and having the option of wearing a lehenga with a kurta is just perfect. No fuss about weight, unnecessary areas showing…its probably the most comfortable chic option to wear this wedding season.

# Jacket Lehenga Set

The perfect winter pick of the wedding season. Stay warm while looking like a million bucks.

The jacket style lehenga is everywhere in the market these days. If you go to the local stores, you will see some seriously bad options out there, which is why…you need to try out this style before making the purchase. I once had given my masterji to make a front and side slit jacket lehenga and he made such a blunder out of it. The flaps were quite light weight, so everytime I walked it would just fly and get stuck on one side. Looked quite indecent. So my recommendation, if you are keen on this style better go for a good designer or an expensive piece rather than the duplicates.

# Off Shoulder & Cold Shoulder Lehenga

Off shoulder tops is every fashions bloggers love since last season, and quickly the trend is picking up in the wedding outfits as well. A lot of celebrities from Shradha Kapoor to Sophia Choudhary have been seen wearing the cold shoulder & off shoulder lehenga style. It looks pretty good at the same time makes a killer style statement.

# Jacket Saree

If you are residing in a place like Delhi Gurgaon, and can’t handle the cold then this style is the one for you. A saree is always stunning no matter what fabric, color, style you pick and rather than wear one ugly winter jacket its much better to add a statement piece to your outfit. Yes, it might cost a bomb…but it will be a one of a kind asset in your wardrobe.
