Bloggers and blogging may be pretty common now, but back in the days (like 2013-14) when I started following blogs, Aayushi Bangur a.k.a. Styldrv was the first blogger I followed. I remember she had like 11k something followers on Instagram, and I was like wow. That’s some crazy following.
I looked at her pictures, and I was like, gosh she looks so beautiful in everything she wears. Its the way she carried herself, so much fashion inspiration I received from her style over the years, for me she is my ultimate blogger celebrity. And her now husband, my blogger-celebrity’s-bf crush! No kidding. I know there’s loads of fan following for him and I’m no different.
Aayushi Bangur in a Sabyasachi Lehenga
Naturally, I was totally psyched when I saw the couple were about to be married. Hashtag smaayu was on my radar throughout the wedding week, and Instagram just became all that more important to check from time to time just so I don’t miss out on anything from their wedding.
Their wedding trailer just came out and you can see the love between the couple. I am so so happy for the two of them. I wish them a lifetime of happiness. Her wedding was nothing short of a full-on royal affair and if you have missed out any of the Aayushi Bangur wedding photos (SMAAYU) series, then feast your eyes, I am sharing everything that’s out there on the web.
Aayushi Bangur Mehendi Photos
Outfit Details: Monisha Jaising
A lilac mehendi outfit, only a fashion blogger would pick something like that. Usually one would opt for the (done to death) yellows, orange, pinks of the world but Aayushi shows us just how easy it is to rock this gorgeous colour on the mehendi day. That + the background, such a frame-worthy shot.
Special mention to the three wedding hashtags, smaayu, aahuaahuaahu and aayushiwedssmaran. Everyone normally goes with one, but why not have three instead of one?! A clever idea, because now the guests and family, and your photographer can definitely not miss out on the wedding photos. My favourite is aahuaahuaahu. Super duper cute.
As this was the first formal event at our wedding, we kept it super causal so that guests could intermingle with ease and enjoy the delicious Rajasthani food. We wanted a colourful decor to match our energy! I wore a lilac, @monishajaisingoutfit (which surprisingly everyone loved, given the unusual colour choice) & Smaran wore a custom-made outfit that I designed. All my wedding jewellery was bought from our family jewellers in Mumbai, Jaipur and Kolkata.
Aayushi Bangur Sangeet Photos
I got goosebumps seeing this picture. Kudos to the photographer captured it at the right moment.
Her hair was always a highlight for me as am sure it was for you. She has probably one of the best healthy thick hair out there. It’s totally envious for me. I wish I had such luscious long hair. The makeup hair artists sure knew this and did such fantastic work on her hair. Its a piece of art when you look at it. Unreal isn’t it?
For this we had a rooftop location, overlooking the city of Udaipur. It was such a fun night under the stars where we just let our hair down and had a fab time! Smaran’s outfit was custom-made and mine was from @dollyjstudio! My jewellery was from our family jeweller.
Velvet is totally in this season guys, and Aayushi is here to confirm the same. Her Dolly J outfit is just outstanding. I love the little sparkles on the top of her lehenga skirt, and then the bottom…it gives plenty of room to show the velvet fabric. Also, that’s a black outfit! Isn’t that amazing. I am so happy to see Indians embracing this colour, because let’s face it…nothing can ever go wrong in black right?
Venue for Aayushi Smaran Wedding
When we decided to get married in Udaipur, having a lakeside wedding was non-negotiable! We had such a hard time finding the perfect place but at last, we did! It was even booked on the day we wanted it but somehow it all worked out! Smaran wore a custom-made @shyamalbhumika raw silk and zardosi sherwani & I wore a @sabyasachiofficiallehenga. My jewellery was bought from our jeweller in Kolkatta.
Safe to say this venue (Chunda Palace) must have cost the couple a bomb, but what a bomb of a location this is. Every nook and corner is a picture worthy setting. Reminds me of Amer Fort. So rich in culture.
Chunda palace actually belongs to one of the noble
Aayushi Bangur Sabyasachi Wedding Lehenga
Sabyasachi Bride Alert. You know I don’t know when I’m going to get bored of seeing a Sabyasachi wedding outfit. I always think the time is now, its here…and then one such outfit comes up, and I am back to loving Sabyasachi. While this outfit was not the quintessential Sabyasachi look, what I loved most about Aayushi’s wedding outfit was the color.
That raspberry red just made her glow and how. I don’t think she has ever looked this beautiful and I so wish she does more of ethnic looks from now. She is just so so beautiful.
Pink turbans for the grooms side. woww woww wowww ! Love love it.
Mumbai Reception Party
We decided to do a casual day time reception on a Sunday afternoon. Smaran wore a @hugo_official suit and I wore a Monisha Jaising drape sari gown!
