Day 4: Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017 was exciting for me because of two designers. They showcased such amazing talent in their collection, I was just awe-struck. For me, Mandira Wirk & Shalini James just made the day 4 fantastic.
While most of the other designers showcased summer fashion trends for young, hippy women, what I loved about these two designers was that their collection was a bit more mature…may be targeted towards brides to be, and overall for women who love ethnic fashion.
# Pria Kataria Puri
My top two favorites were these flowy outfits from her collection. They have such a boho chic vibe going on, I love it. This is the first time I am seeing this designers outfits, and I like what I see. Comfortable, chic fashion for the upcoming summer.
One of the best collections in the entire fashion week, can you see how gorgeous and angelic Nimrat Kaur looks in that outfit. *Tears in my eyes* I think the designer has truly created magic this year with her collection, and its all smiles and smiles as we browse through her creations.
I loved every single outfit from Mandira Wirk’s collection at Day 4: Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017. Dreamy, romantic that’s how I would describe her collection. I think there were some worthy outfits for bridestobe to bookmark from her collection.
The collection includes a diverse range of silhouettes, with paneled anarkalis, floor sweeping bell bottoms, jackets & capes, crop tops, jumpsuits, tapered trousers, along side signature Mandira Wirk styles like drape saris and dhoti pants.
Which outfit is your favorite from her collection?
# These two Masaba outfits
While I couldn’t identify with their entire summer collection, I did fall in love with a few of them that stood out for me. Very peppy, fun, playful that’s how I see these outfits. Their collection did scream summer for sure. And on a separate note, this probably is something that Blair Waldorf would have in her summer closet for sure.
“Our mood board exuberates Victorian influences, shades of blues, white and reds, volume, shirts and skirts, abstract motifs, puffed sleeves, silhouette experimentation, tie-ups and a lot of layering.”
I think the first outfit totally stole the show for me. But nonetheless, there were some cute summer looks from this designers Day 4: Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017 collection. I love the off shoulder maxi probably the most. High time we get maxis in off shoulders right?
Super cute isn’t it. I love the short frocks from her collection. So summer cute.
God knows I love Shalini James. From the first time I saw her collection last at Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 I just knew this is one designer to bookmark for all brides, non-brides…basically anyone who loves ethnic wear. She is just so so talented.
Her outfits are so beautiful even though they look so simple to the eyes. Easily my favorite collection for a wedding guest look. What say?
