Gone are the days when guests get excited about mithaais and dry fruits for wedding favors. In a world which is all about doing something a little different, something a little ‘hatke‘, its all about personalized wedding favors. Not only is the idea super unique, it sometimes saves up a lot of money.
Mithaais don’t come cheap anymore, and neither does dry fruits. Given everyone’s dietary requirements, I don’t know about you…but in my household…most of that wedding mithaai goes to the maids house or to neighbours or guests coming over. Ya ya hawww…such a bad thing to do….but what to do !
So for a budget of 1000 bucks, you can instead go for fun personalized wedding favors, quirky ones, cute ones..or even useful ones…it all depends on what suits your taste and your theme of the wedding. My personal opinion…do a mix of 2-3 personalized favors…if its too easy on the pocket…your guests will love receiving them.
#1 Pine Cones
Remember the last post on Pine Cones….to use for your wedding decor. Well, my obsession has not stopped with pine cones yet. Here’s another awesome way to include these personalized (freebies) to all your guests for a winter wedding theme. If you’re having a Delhi Wedding this year…then you can give this one a serious try.
#2 Mint Boxes
I love this idea. And its not that difficult to replicate. Just buy store bought tic tac boxes, remove the labels, and put up these personalized stickers. You can totally do it…and this wedding favor is so so cute. Easy on the pocket too.
Who wants mithaai when you can have home made chocolates?!! You can easily get these from Crawford Market or even any bakery stores, and either wrap them up in your own creative packaging, or simply put them in a mason jar, and tie a nice satin sash around it. I especially love the message, its totally adorable.
#4 Personalized Popcorn Packs
Now who doesn’t enjoy a midnight popcorn round? Perfect wedding favors to give out…you can do so many flavors, and let your guests pick their choice. Also, if you do this wedding favor, do make sure to hand write a personalized cheesy message to add that extra flavor touch. Your guests are sure to love it.
#5 Scented candles
Scented candles are so romantic and everyone loves having them. A wedding is the perfect occasion to gift these to your guests. You can have multiple flavors for guests to choose from, and you can personalize them with a nice little thank you note.
#6 Coffee Beans
I see a lot of couples opting for coffee as their wedding favors these days. Its a brilliant idea, one that is appropriate money wise…its almost contemporary to mithaais and dry fruits, and you pretty much don’t need to invest in anything extra other than this. Depending upon your budget, customize by adding a fancy mason jar or pouch to give your favorite coffee in.
Winters are coming, and considering 70%+ weddings happens in the outdoors…this is the perfect accessory to give out to guests. The best thing about this gift is it is useful both during and after the wedding. Choose subtle colors which will suit everyones tastes. Write a short note and keep a separate counter for displaying the colors and options.
#8 Match Sticks
Not to give these solo, you can club them with something more meaningful. Make a small hamper if you may like and add this, and mint to be and things like that. You can put up lots of small things, and guests are going to love opening their little gift packs once they get home.
#9 Honey favors
