My instagram is flooding off late with Bridal Asia Delhi 2016 announcements. I had heard about it since years, and I know its a big deal…but when I started reading/researching about it…I realized just how big its going to be. Think Vogue Wedding Show earlier this year…this is kind of like a contemporary to that. Basically that means you have everything from high end designers exhibiting to anything that screams luxury weddings.
The plus point….its not an invite only exhibition. Anybody who can make it to Delhi, Ashoka Hotel between 1st to 3rd October can and should attend this event. So in case any of you missed the chance of meeting with your favorite designers or looking at exquisite bridal wear…this is your chance !
BIG NAMES FOR BRIDAL WEAR:
# Anju Modi
Just to refresh your memory, she is the designer behind the gorgeous outfits of Deepika Padukone in Bajirao Mastani. Aaaah, now you know this is reason enough to visit her stall at the exhibition. But let me tell you her bridal wear is expensive.
Budget: 2 Lakh upwards
From gowns to bridal lehengas, heavy anarkalis, sarees, suits…this stall is a one stop shop for all things bridal. The Karol Bagh, Rajouri Garden based store has a lot to offer to brides, and Bridal Asia Delhi 2016 is the perfect place to check out their latest trends.
Budget: 70k upwards for Bridal Lehengas, 30k+ for light lehengas and gowns are 40k+
You know before Sabyasachi became such a rage, the only name that was at the tip of my tongue was Vikram Phadnis for Bridal Lehengas…the designer bridal lehengas that is. His collection was so dream like, drop dead gorgeous. I really don’t know why he went off radar, but I am so excited about his stall at Bridal Asia Delhi 2016.
# Nidhi Tholia
If you’re tired of seeing the same old designers with the same old designs which practically every other bride is donning, then Nidhi Tholia is a refreshing change of option. Her designs are traditional yet very chic and I love how she experiments with different colors.
DESIGNERS FOR PRE-WEDDING OUTFITS
From whatever I have seen so far, the designers style is into minimalistic embroideries in pastel shaded outfits. If you are into Anushree Reddy designs but want something a little different, then Amrita Thakur is the answer to all your problems. From mints, orange, pinks and soft purple…what’s not to love.
Budget: Under 1lakh
I love her designs. Like very very much. A. She is easy on the pocket (at least by designer standards) B. Her designs can easily be used after the wedding functions as well. Be it as a wedding guest style outfit or for sister of the bride outfit. Depending upon how you dress it up or down, you can really play with her outfit style.
Budget: Around1 lakh
