This year rained bridal fashion at LFW and I for one was very pleased. While some of the styles were seen before, had an idea about…there were some new names that totally rocked the show. From wedding lehengas to reception and mehendi sangeet wear, cocktail night and more…there was something for every occasion. I am just combining all those looks for you in one single post. Exciting isn’t it?
Make notes ladies. While you may not go ahead and buy these designer pieces per say, this post will help you to decide on the styles, the colors, the kind of work that you have always dreamed off. Its a good first step to doing the real research to know what really is your dream lehenga style.
I hope some of you get inspiration.
BEST BRIDAL LEHENGAS FROM SAROJ JALAN
She has been my favorite from the time I first saw her outfits in this years LFW Summer/Resort collection. If you like the traditional styles, the quintessential definition of a wedding lehenga, you will love her collection. Although surprisingly, she has moved into experimental territory with her this years new collection. No doubt, I love it…in fact hers was probably one of the best bridal collection in the whole of LFW.
The red maroon lehengas, they are fine…but the midnight blue lehengas, like Oh My Gawdddd !!! So so pretty…right? A lot of designers are going for this color and I’m in love. Its a winter color for sure, and probably the trendiest one this season.
The blue outfits are a bold choice to pick for either a cocktail night function or even as a reception outfit. Mind you, Saroj Jalan is expensive…so don’t get your hopes too high.
BEST MEHENDI SANGEET OUTFITS FROM ANUSHREE REDDY
No surprise prizes for this. She knows her strengths and she played safe in this years fashion week as well.
Everyone loves Anushree Reddy and no matter how much you have seen the designs, its still fresh and charming for a newbie bride to don on her pre-wedding functions. I just wish there was a hint of something else something more from her collection.
OPULENCE IN ABUNDANCE FROM SABYASACHI SHOW
Fur with a lehenga…only a genius like Sabyasachi can envision that. Yes, its a difficult thing for any Bombay bride to imagine wearing fur with her lehenga…it never gets that cold…but I surely hope this trend picks up in Delhi. Would be super awesome, super chic.
