Men's Wear Fashion

Men’s wear fashion has never really been looked at seriously, at least not by me. Its just something that’s like an add on, good to know kinds…but this time around…the Lakme India Fashion Week had some serious dedication towards ethnic summer men’s wear and some of them were actually good.

This wouldn’t have been a separate post if I had not found like more than a couple of good finds…but I really did and so I am sharing the same with you. While some of the designs may be somewhat dekha-dekha, its still good to know that its in fashion and totally wearable.

I am usually not a full on white person, but somehow this season is totally about whites…and I am not complaining. While Anita Dongre’s men’s wear fashion is not my favoritest of the lot, I still liked the fact that there were options in terms to designs, length of the kurta and in general the outfit looked clean and crisp. The second one is probably my favorite among the rest.

Loved this look…different yet edgy…easily can be carried off

There was a certain flowy-ness in the designers fabrics and that was what was standing out in his collection..both men’s and women’s fashion. Summer this season is all about capes, jackets and slits…so why not do something creative for the opposite gender too… totally approved !

I loved the fit, the colors, the design of his men’s wear collection. The navy color palette with the quirky patterns definitely made for the perfect boyfriend wardrobe essentials. Whats not to love, if you know someone who can carry off these looks, then they should definitely consider getting their hands on these.

Knee length jacket, yes please

There’s only that much one can do in men’s wear, and while this designers collection was good…it failed to impress in its creativity department.

I have honestly never seen so many designs on the runaway in a fashion week dedicated to men’s wear. May be there could be, and I missed…but nothing that has stuck to my head. But this time around…I felt there was a serious effort put in and I just wished they had thought of including casual western wear too.

Its not like I don’t love the ethnic wear, but wouldn’t it be great if there was something more to offer in terms to daily sporty looks as well?

You saw my post on Rohit Bal’s collection right? He had one stunner of a finale show and every single piece in the collection was a showstopper look. Ditto for men’s wear too. I loved the detailing, the bright pop of color, the fit of the outfits…basically everything. Very royal in its look…it’s definitely a contender for favorite wedding wear pick this season.
