Oh and they are all under 1500 bucks !!!
So, my day kind of started quite early what with my morning lectures starting at 7:30 am !! For those of you who don’t know, I am a visiting faculty at NMIMS 😛 By the time I was home I was so drained out, I thought lets just take a break today from wedding, blogging and everything else. But that’s just wishful thinking I guess.
I knew this season is all about the sale what with newspapers having full page displays of everything from designer sales to online sales. Off late, I wasn’t getting much time to actually make use of this precious time to hoard onto ‘cheap’ good stuff, but today I thought lets just indulge for some time. Let me tell you, my ‘sometime’ is now 3 hours and counting on the Jabong Ethnic Wear Collection.
I have always been a fan of Jabong more than any other website. I think 30% of my wardrobe is filled with Jabong stuff mainly the Maxi Dresses and Sarees. I am in love with their stuff. I don’t know why, but somehow their certain brands just really appeal to me. Also, this was the first online shopping site that I ever made any purchases from. So I am sort of loyal that ways to them 😀
Anyhow, so I kind of wanted to see if I can get some good deals on sarees this time. Last year same time, I had purchased some beautiful pieces from their collection at practically rock bottom prices. 1500 mein 3 sarees !!! And they were 3 very good sarees. Although I did pick some more as well, but you get the point…
So this time also, I thought why not look for some casual pieces which can just be there in my collection of sarees, and I can have them as additional outfits – for say pujas, just going out somewhere or for whatever other reason. [I can’t even think of any reason of buying casual wear sarees, but I still want them 😀 ]
So after going through like 5000 sarees or so (Jabong has 20000+ sarees under sale currently), I have kind of shortlisted these 12 sarees as my favorites based on their look and price.
So here goes…
I fell in love with this saree the minute I looked at it. This particular piece is from the brand Bahubali. I had never heard of them before, but I would suggest do a filter on this brand because you will find goregous shades of sarees in their collection at an affordable price. This saree is just for Rs.1364.
I don’t know how much you like this saree, but I have a thing for plain colors with just an elegant border and this one justifies that look completely. This is such a vibrant color that can be worn by any newly wed bride for a afternoon tea party or so. Add a nice shade of fuchsia lipstick to go with it and some statement jewellery, and you are sure to be one hell of a stunner in this piece. This saree is just for Rs.1309.
One can just never get enough of the black and red combination. No matter what the saree, the color has a look of itself. It can just brighten up any skin tone and also can be worn both casually as well as for a party. This black red embroidered silk saree is at a steal deal of just Rs.820!! Reason enough to buy I think !
How pretty is this??! I just fell in love with this one. Pink and orange can just never go wrong. It just looks so light weight and airy. Perfect for a summer afternoon wear I feel. This printed saree is just for Rs. 640 and is at 60% off !!
Although I already own some brasso sarees, I instantly fell in love with this one just because of its color. This bluish-green shade is definitely an unusual color and definitely looks quite stunning I feel. Although the border is a little plain I think, but overall the look is quite gorgeous. I also love the way the model has draped the saree. Looks easy but anybody knows the trick? Please do tell how to do this draping 🙂
Oh, a strange thing I noticed while seeing this piece is that there were two prices mentioned on Jabong. Not sure why it is so, but go for the lower price which is just Rs. 788!! If any of you wish to pay more (for no reason), then you can find the alternative link here. The price mentioned on this is Rs. 1043.
My favorite! My favorite!! This exact piece I bought last year for like 500 bucks flat but this time its a little pricey at Rs. 1377. I think its still worth it for the fabric and the strong fluorescent pink border. Its seriously worth the price guys.
This is a little ‘hatke’ piece but then that’s the point right? Why go the usual way. I think art (artificial) silks look great on anybody. The fabric gives a nice shine to the outfit giving it the much desired rich look. For those of you’ll who are into silk sarees, you should definitely check out more pieces like these on Jabong. They have some brilliant stuff online. This particular piece is just for Rs. 1133.
This ones another one of my favorites from the Bahubali collection. I think the look is a little oldish but definitely its a good looking saree for the price of Rs.1360. The fabric is jaquard and the border is complete embroidery. I think it will look pretty nice once worn.
Want to do a photoshoot with your boyfriend/fiance/husband in the rains? Then this piece is the ultimate one. I wish I had this one when I did my pre wedding photoshoot. There is something about the colors which is standing out so bright and vibrant. I just love this piece. Its priced at just Rs.900. If not for the photoshoot, just wear this sheer chiffon saree in front of your better half, and the watch his jaw drop. Don’t forget to complete the look with a sexy purple bindi 🙂
This sweet saree is just so soothing to look at. Again a good piece to wear on pujas or when visiting the temple. Its just so easy to carry off and I love the colors orange and red together. Don’t you? There is just one piece left last time I checked, so hurry ! This piece can be yours for just Rs.950 and you can buy this saree here.
Another one from the Bahubali collections. This one my mom loved. So, I guess even your mom might love, so why not gift it to her? Its priced at Rs.1338. I am not a fan of the half n half but this ones color coordinates rather well I feel. What do you think?
I love silk ! I love silk !! I love silk !!! And this one is silk + chiffon. What more can one want? It has beautiful embroidery all over its border. Do me a favour, and click on the link to zoom in and see the saree for yourself. Its actually a very pretty piece and at an awesome price of just Rs.883!!!
I know this is not a saree but I just wanted to share this one. This entire set of kurti + palazzo pants is for just Rs.1000. Now palazzos itself cost 100 bucks, so why not buy this one. Hurry!
P.S. I already bought this one, so medium size is out. Sorry guys.
Which one of these sarees did you like the best?
